A Four-Week Psychotopology Lab: Reimagining Our Stories about Money
Featuring Psychotopology and the Wisdom of the Tao

Money is a great trickster. Each of us has a story in which this trickster wears different masks. Money can show up as security, freedom, health, self-worth, or intimacy.
Sometimes, money can strut in as a benevolent patron, showering abundance and joy. In other times, especially in this moment of great chaos and uncertainty, it often appears as a tyrant, plunging us into fear, shame, or even an existential abyss.
These uncomfortable emotional reactions often trace back to earlier moments of our life when we became separated from our wholeness, as the cultural conditions and beliefs at that time couldn’t fully see, support and embrace our authentic selves. With the powerful mapping tool of Psychotopology, we now can reclaim the true wealth of our being via walking through the gate of these emotions.

This series is an invitation to turn toward that separation with mindfulness, compassion and community support. Over four weeks, we’ll:
- Share personal stories of money that feel alive today.
- Explore the emotional undercurrents beneath these narratives.
- Use the powerful mapping tools of psychotopology to be present with what arises.
- Reclaim inner resources and reconnect with aspects of self once left behind.
- Learn to apply the wisdom of the Tao to cultivate a holistic relationship with this trickster.
From there, we will reimagine a new story of money for individuals and our community. In these stories, we will invite this trickster to support us in living an authentic, abundant and connected life in community.

Shown here is some of the mapping Spring did.
Our Story
More than a decade ago, Spring was applying psychotopology practice to investigate the underlying anxiety she felt around finance.
As she investigated, she discovered a huge reservoir of “anger” towards a systemic distortion of the lineage of the Eastern Asian medicine she carried. When she did her first psychotopology mapping, she made an unexpected discovery of the true calling of her inner being: a healer who weaves medicine into her music and songs. She answered the call and created the Resonance Code which seeded a lively community in China to regenerate the wisdom traditions indigenous to Chinese spirit. Read her story here.
In this series, Spring and Joe will share stories around money during their continuous adventure as an invitation for authentic presence in our collective work.
Financial Contribution:
We offer a two-stage payment scheme. We ask you to pay a registration fee of $195 at the beginning of the series. This fee stands for a commitment to give your fullest self to the time we will spend together.
At the end of the four weeks, we invite you to sense into the value of this experience as well as its fair value in the market place, and choose a secondary exchange that feels the most aligned and comfortable. The choices include sticking with the original $195, contributing more or asking any amount of the $195 back.
Our intention is to “walk the talk”. With this payment invitation, we intend to empower you to create the values aligned with who you are in the world.
If you want to attend the series but paying $195 is challenging, we are open for other arrangements such as trade or deferred payment. Please reach out to us to discuss options. Space is limited to 8 people.

This series is facilitated by Spring Cheng and Joe Shirley. For their full bios, please click here or here.
