Our Jan and Feb courses will focus on qigong foundation and principles for holistic living. Qigong nourishes and regenerates our nervous systems through gentle movement, breath, intention, activating healing energy inherent in our physical body. Intermediate students will have chance to review the Tai Chi forms.
Mar and Apr courses will focus on practicing Tai Chi yang style 24 forms, as well as applying the energetics of Tai Chi principles in improvisational movements and partner work. The partner work is traditionally known as push-hands. At Dancing Tao, we have developed partner work to further illuminate how to embody Tai Chi principles in relational dynamics.
- Students may enroll before the first Sunday of each month.
- Students at all levels are welcomed in each monthly course.
- New students are welcome to take a class for free before enrolling in a monthly course.
Note: We recommend wearing indoor shoes doing Tai Chi in the Yoga Shala Studio we rent. Some options: Barefoot shoes, Tai Chi shoes.
